“Counselling is a profession. It takes five years to become a registered and accredited practitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Counselling isn’t happening just because someone claims they are listening or ‘have got a theory’.”

When one first arrives at a Scientology Rehab center, the patient’s surprise of seeing no doctors or nurses is calmed by “We have dedicated and certified staff that will help you every step to get through your addiction withdrawals – we’ll assist you with your aches and pains.” Many new-bees to Narconon fear the dreaded struggle ahead, but the certified withdrawal specialist reassures by beginning treatment as soon as the patient’s belongings are sowed away in his bedroom.

Addiction Cycle

The treatment begins with Scientology Light Objectives, the specialist having the patient look around the room and find objects of various colours. Then onto a message table where they’re asked to feel the therapist’s finger as it touches different parts of the body, with a response of “Yes” – - meaning “yes I feel your finger.”

Keeping staff to a bare minimum, the Narconon program uses patients to help each other progress through the gradient steps of Scientology Training Routines and Auditing Sessions. This is called “Twinning” and each patient has the same “Twin” for the entire 3-6 month duration. Therapy in withdrawal using this method begins with each Twin sitting on chairs facing each other. First, they must sit frozen still, looking at each other with eyes closed for 5 minutes – then with eyes open. This continues over a few days until a goal of 15 minutes is attained, then out of withdrawal and over to the main program where the Training Routines (TR’s), time duration is extended up to 2 hours.

Certified

Not only are most of the so called certified staff not qualified (only certified at Narconon after short course), but these ill patients have no idea what they are doing, except being used to help someone else get through treatment as best they can.

Each of these victims of exploitation, have paid $30,000 each – a total of $60,000 and receive no qualified or professional treatment whatsoever. A designer scam of the century, may describe this incomprehensible pseudoscientific addiction treatment.

Allegations Concerning Practicing Medicine Without a License

 “Reacting to an emerging pattern of arrests, Hubbard (in December, 1953) incorporated three religious organisations in New Jersey: the Church of American Science, The Church of Scientology, and The Church of Spiritual Engineering (Aberree, 1954a: 1). A publication by an independent Scientologist at the time reported that officials of the Hubbard Association of Scientologists stated that there is little doubt but what this stroke will remove Scientology from then, a target area of overt and covert attacks by the medical profession, who see their pills, scalpels, and appendix-studded incomes threatened” (Aberree, 1954a: 4).”

When an addiction treatment center assures a patient that they will be cured or feel better by consuming enormous amounts of vitamins and other cult concoctions, in essence, this is practicing medicine without a license. As with a licensed physician, these Narconon specialists are assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, and administering medical treatments that they’ve informed the patient will work without reservation.

Health Fraud

And with the TR’s and Auditing sessions, the patients are taught and trained to treat each other in therapies. When one closely examines the absurdness of this con to extort and manipulate millions into Scientology coffers, it boggles the mind why governments permit this ongoing scam.

Narconon Closed

Scientology’s statement “we have helped millions of people” is an undefined claim that begs clarification and expose. With exaggerated and fraudulent success rates promoted to unwary, vulnerable victims, the exploitation of desperate addicts continues to harm and kill. So what exactly are they claiming with promotions like, “Thus, the Narconon program is neither a psychiatric nor medical, but a social education model of

rehabilitation?”

Desperate

In the Narconon sauna Purification Rundown book, Clear Mind Clean Body, L. Ron Hubbard writes that all drugs are “essentially poisons, including tranquilizers and other medicinal drugs, and for those who have had drugs of any kind, there is no other rescue that is effective,” referring to the Narconon detoxification program. Narconon claims that all drugs are poisonous and remain in the body permanently — claims that are thoroughly discredited by modern science.
Psychiatric drugs are seen differently. Scientology and Narconon forbid the use of all psychiatric drugs and they work to prevent non-Scientologists from using them as well. Scientologists are vehemently opposed to all forms of psychiatry — not just for themselves, but for everyone. Since drugs are prescribed for serious medical conditions, including epilepsy and Graves’ disease and many other diagnosed medical conditions, they help the suffering cope and function in society, and these individuals are at serious risk if they stop taking the medication.

The Church of Scientology even today still publishes claims by Hubbard that the reactive mind “is the only thing in the human being which can produce … arthritis, bursitis, asthma, allergies, sinusitis, coronary trouble, high blood pressure, and so on, down the whole catalog of psychosomatic ills.” Thus, only Scientology auditing sessions can rid a person of these medical ailments.

The Narconon staff, who are also Scientologists, are well aware that the only way for a Narconon patient to remain clean and sober, according to L. Ron Hubbard, is to enroll in the “NED Drug Rundown” offered only at the Church of Scientology.

Dangerous Treatment

Scientology’s own words about the “NED Drug Rundown” say: “On this rundown, the harmful effects of drugs are erased and a person is freed from the compulsion or need to take drugs. This service handles drugs and the real reason a person started taking them in the first place.”

“Addressing drugs with NED technology removes the barriers that prevent progress up THE BRIDGE levels. It is a vital step on your NED program.”

What these quotations imply is that the Narconon program does NOT erase the harmful effects of drugs, nor does it free a patient from the compulsion or need to take drugs! Perhaps this is why the Narconon-promoted success rate of 70 to 90% is purely imaginary and in reality the failure rate is 90%.

Drug Treatment – Pyramid Style:

A few months at a Scientology Rehab will cost about 25-30 thousand dollars, with no set or scheduled duration of so-called treatment. In their dogma“It takes as long as it takes” a patient enters the program and after completing a regiment of Scientology Training Routines and Auditing Sessions, they’re good to go, and be a productive member of society, as per the Case Supervisor’s sign off on the patient’s confidential file.

Prior to completing the Narconon program, the patient (student, as Scientology calls them), is groomed to be a staff member. After a final IQ Test and Scientology Personality Test, the theater of employment is set for acceptance. Many times the victim is hired as a volunteer, with no remuneration – only a bed and food. The patients, who do manage to escape the Cult’s clutches, are encouraged to take the Field Staff Member’s (FSM) course. Once completed, with Certificate in hand, the patient can now leave and begin hustling more vulnerable victims back into the Scientology Rehab.

The FSM earns 10% of the $30,000 Narconon fee, with some recruiting several per week. Indeed a lucrative example of pushing their Scientology religion into the “Secular” community, as in “Expansion” of Scientology to clear the planet of evil and all who not believe.

Relapsed

The majority of Narconon graduates relapse back into the chains of addiction soon after leaving and the cycle of addiction takes a devastating toll on all concerned, including family members and friends.

On April 17, 2012 Jocelyn Ouellet reported that the Mauricie and Central-Quebec Health and Social Services Agency ordered Narconon to cease its activities and to relocate the twenty-four residents who were there. Seventeen of them were transferred to Narconon centers in the United States. The organization has ten days to send its comments to the Agency, which will then issue a final decision. The center will then have sixty days to contest the decision before the Quebec administrative court.

The Quebec Accreditation Council identified forty-six deficiencies, twenty-six of them considered high-risk. One of the procedures that represented a health risk is the sauna sweating sessions combined with massive doses of vitamins.

Marc Lacour also confirmed that the regional complaints commissioner has received a certain number of complaints about Narconon. Clients who wanted to end their stay prematurely complained that their identity cards, passports, and money were taken and withheld to make departing more complicated.

Two recent deaths at Narconon Arrowhead in Oklahoma, have initiated investigations by the Sheriff’s Department, with ongoing investigations.

On Saturday, August 20, 2011, while in attendance at a peaceful protest in front of the Vancouver Church of Scientology, the Police were called to question me in response to a hate crime complaint by one of the Church’s parishioners.

A police cruiser attended the scene and I was questioned about my motives for being there and the officers informed me that the Church members felt intimidated by my presence and stated I was committing a hate crime. After explaining why I was there and that I did not hate the church or any member therein, I did point out that I vehemently oppose Scientology’s human rights abuses and fraudulent activity, including criminal convictions. I added that under the Canada Charter of Rights and Freedoms, I was protected by way of “freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression and freedom of peaceful assembly.”

The Officers smiled and indeed were quite friendly, concurring that I was breaking no law and in no way was I inciting hate crimes.

The Canada Criminal Code Section 319 deals with publicly stirring up or inciting hatred against an identifiable group based on colour, race, religion, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.

This law states that it is illegal to communicate hatred in a public place by telephone, broadcast or through other audio or visual means. The same section protects people from being charged with a hate crime if their statements are truthful or the expression of a religious opinion.

The Code also states: 318 (1) Every person who advocates or promotes genocide is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years. (2) In this section, “genocide” means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy in whole or in part any identifiable group, namely. (a) Killing members of the group; or (b) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction.

I have been to many protests in several cities across Canada, and not once have I seen any Anonymous protester with any thoughts or actions in the context of hate crimes under the criminal code. In fact the only criminal acts I’ve witnessed were by members of the Church of Scientology.

When one examines Scientology religious doctrines and church policy, clearly, hate crimes and other illegal activity are evident.

L. Ron Hubbard wrote “In any event, any person from 2.0 down on the Tone Scale should not have, in any thinking society, any civil rights of any kind. There are only two answers for the handling of people from 2.0 down on the Tone Scale, neither one of which has anything to do with reasoning with them or listening to their justification of their acts. The first is to raise them on the Tone Scale by un-enturbulating some of their theta by any one of the three valid processes. The other is to dispose of them quietly and without sorrow. The sudden and abrupt deletion of all individuals occupying the lower bands of the tone scale from the social order would result in an almost instant rise in the cultural tone and would interrupt the dwindling spiral into which any society may have entered. It is not necessary to produce a world of clears in order to have a reasonable and worthwhile social order; it is only necessary to delete those individuals who range from 2.0 down” L. Ron Hubbard, Science of Survival.

Under Section 318 of the Canada Criminal Code, it is a criminal act to “advocate or promote genocide” — to call for, support, encourage or argue for the killing of members of a group based on colour, race, religion, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.

Under the CANADIAN HUMAN RIGHTS ACT, Section 13: Hate messages -

13.(1) It is a discriminatory practice for a person or a group of persons acting in concert to communicate telephonically or to cause to be so communicated, repeatedly, in whole or in part by means of the facilities of a telecommunication undertaking within the legislative authority of Parliament, any matter that is likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt by reason of the fact that that person or those persons are identifiable on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.

In review of the aforementioned Criminal Codes and Human Rights Act, Scientology in essence, encourages hate crimes as per policy and directives and does so without fear of redress by the judicial system.

On Wednesday January 11, 2012, the United Kingdom charged five men for hate crimes for allegedly handing out leaflets calling for gay people to be killed in the first ever prosecution under new legislation making such actions a hate crime. One of the accused allegedly told the officers who questioned him that it was his duty to express laws laid down by Allah.

Similarly, parishioners of the Church of Scientology follow and abide by L. Ron Hubbard’s dogma of discriminating against not only gay people, but any person below two on the Scientology Tone Scale. Hubbard declares that these people do not have any civil rights whatsoever and should be killed.

Furthermore, Hubbard declares “Somebody someday will say ‘this is illegal.’  By then be sure the orgs [Scientology organizations] say what is legal or not.”

Scientology religious doctrines and policies cannot ever be changed or modified in any way whatsoever – - to do so is a High Crime as per L. Ron Hubbard directives.

From a psychological standpoint, hate crimes may have extreme consequences, if the victim even survives. A manual issued by the Attorney-General of the Province of Ontario in Canada lists the following consequences:

-       Effects on people – psychological and affective disturbances; repercussion on the victim’s identity and self-esteem; both reinforced by the degree of violence of a hate crime, usually stronger than that of a common one.

-       Effect on the targeted group – generalized terror in the group to which the victim belongs, inspiring feelings of vulnerability over the other members, who could be the next victims.

-       Effect on other vulnerable groups – ominous effects over minority groups or over groups that identify themselves with the targeted one, especially when the referred hate is based on an ideology or doctrine that preaches simultaneously against several groups.

Peaceful protests at the Church of Scientology does not invoke a hate crime act towards a group or single person, but rather “we the people” oppose the illegal behaviour and insidious human rights abuses that this organization condones as legal and their religious right.

Or did you miss the news broadcast for several days, that Narconon Trois-Rivieres executives and staff left patients stranded and in despair. Yup, Narconon sure knows how to “handle” drug addiction – - run away as fast as possible with cash in the building fund.

The local government say that persons that fragile should be cared for in a clean and safe environment.”

Clearly, you have no perception or “clear” thought whatsoever about Narconon and thus promote a dangerous and deadly cult scientology rehab to the detriment of suffering addicts and their loved ones. WireService.ca Press Release – April 13, 2012 – Following a two year battle to have the Scientology Rehab Center, Narconon Trois-Rivieres, shut down for serious Human Rights abuses against dozens of patients, one victim was surprised by the lies published online by Andre Ahern on several websites. Out of desperation, Andre attacks by stating,  “He changed his mind, apparently, after he began receiving payments from members of the Anonymous criminal network, dozens of whom have been arrested around the world recently.”

Ahern then published confidential patient information to Dead Agent the victims. The Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services and the Human Rights Commission investigators have now received a formal complaint asking for a Restraining Order against Narconon and to have all of the press releases removed from websites.

Apparently Scientology fears Anonymous more than any other organization. According to the Anonymous Why We Protest website;

“Anonymous originally chose Scientology as a campaign target because of the events surrounding the now infamous Tom Cruise Scientology video. While the video itself was not enough to spark interest, the untamed aggression of the Church of Scientology to remove it did.”

“Since our campaign began, Anonymous, along with numerous former Scientologists, has uncovered or brought into the public eye hundreds of illegal actions, fraudulent activities, and human rights violations perpetrated by the Church of Scientology.”

Scientology continues to harass and intimidate those who exercise their rights of free speech, with past examples being vicious and criminal.

Operation Freakout, was a Church of Scientology covert plan intended to have the US author and journalist Paulette Cooper imprisoned or committed to a mental institution.

The Church of Scientology filed at least 19 lawsuits against Cooper throughout the 1970s and 1980s, which Cooper considered part of “a typical Scientology dirty-tricks campaign” and which Cooper’s attorney Michael Flynn said was motivated by L. Ron Hubbard’s declaration that the purpose of a lawsuit was to “harass and discourage”.

On July 8, 1977, however, the FBI raided Scientology offices in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., seizing over 48,000 documents. They revealed the extent to which the Church had committed “criminal campaigns of vilification, burglaries and thefts.

Although in the end nobody was brought to justice for the harassment of Cooper, the wider campaign of criminal activity was successfully prosecuted by the United States Government. Mary Sue Hubbard, Jane Kember, Henning Heldt, Morris Budlong, Duke Snider, Dick Weigand, Greg Willardson, Mitchell Hermann and Cindy Raymond were indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of theft, burglary, conspiracy, and other crimes.

In Canada, Scientology is a convicted organization and if recent events of Dead Agenting are an example of their battle plan, 2012 could indeed promise to be an interesting year. Several Narconon Trois-Rivieres victims have filed formal complaints in Canada against the Scientology Rehab center, Narconon Trois-Rivieres with the Human Rights Commission and Ministry of Health and Social Services.

The hook is set and the distraught victim easily falls prey to the “confidence game”. The family member of the suffering addict, is instructed to wire a large deposit to hold the bed – - five or ten thousand dollars. The balance of $30,000 can be paid upon arrival.

Countless websites, with glowing testimonials, are set up with calculated precision to hustle the unwary victim. It appears that every Province and Community in Canada has a treatment center – - a mouse click opens a window telling a story of that town’s addiction problems. The relieved Mom sends the money, unbeknown to her that all roads lead to the Cult of Scientology Reab, Narconon. There is absolutely no mention or icon of Scientology or Narconon on these “Fake Referral Websites”.

Another Canadian Con is the unqualified interventionist websites depicting professional services with a 95% success rate; also with glowing testimonials. For a fee of $2,500, plus travel expenses, the confidence artist gains the victim’s trust, extracting funds from their Visa or MasterCard as quickly as possible.

There are untold numbers of vulnerable addicts and alcoholics that have been duped into the claws of pseudoscientific treatment centers. In some cases, far worse for wear post treatment than when they enrolled; and many thousands of dollars poorer. These Scientology Rehab centers circle the globe, with millions of dollars funneled into the “mother church” in California.

Recently, a University Professor examined all eight Narconon program books and found that there was nothing in these books that were NOT 100% Scientology religious doctrines, therapies, and practices. Nothing in the Narconon program addresses the disease of addiction – - no group meetings or individual counselling whatsoever. Each patient is called a “student”, as in being in school or training program. A gradient process of Scientology indoctrination and brain washing begins the first day the patient arrives in the cult compund. Six days a week, the patient is subject to “Training Routines” and Scientology Auditing Sessions. Gradually, their mind is twisted into “cult group” thinking and actions. Each unit step of the program, the “student” MUST attest to the greatness of what they were just taught and is coerced into writing a “Success Story”. If the student objects or refuses to cooperate, they may have to redo that program segment or face being interrogated by an Ethics Officer, which could lead to the patient being encouraged to disconnect from a family member who opposes Scientology.

The Narconon program is not recognized as a scientific or medical based treatment or therapy and many medical experts warn of the dangers in exposing an addict to this pseudoscientific treatment.

Research has shown that long-term drug abuse results in changes in the brain that persist long after a person stops using drugs. These drug-induced changes in brain function can have many behavioral consequences, including an inability to exert control over the impulse to use drugs despite adverse consequences—the defining characteristic of addiction. Understanding that addiction has such a fundamental biological component may help explain the difficulty of achieving and maintaining abstinence without professional treatment.

Trying to locate appropriate treatment for a loved one, especially finding a program tailored to an individual’s particular needs, can be a difficult process.

Drug addiction is a disease of the brain that frequently occurs with other mental disorders. In fact, as many as 6 in 10 people with an illicit substance use disorder also suffer from another mental illness. Thus, patients entering treatment either for a substance use disorder or for another mental disorder should be assessed for the co-occurrence of the other condition. Research indicates that treating both (or multiple) illnesses simultaneously in an integrated fashion is generally the best treatment approach for these patients.

On May 2, 2002, Brad Melnychuk, director of the Scientology organization, ABLE Canada, made some interesting statements to the Federal 37th PARLIAMENT, 1st SESSION, Special Committee on Non-Medical Use of Drugs, concerning the success rate of Narconon. Brad Melnychuk states as follows:

“The point being missed is that there are programs that do work–Narconon, for example. You may think I’m here just to promote my program. It happens to be a program I’m very familiar with, one that does in fact get results, so of course I will talk about it. I’m talking about it because of the results. For example, Narconon gets a 65% success rate of abstinence even at its worst. In fact, the average is 75%. The more experienced, larger, and well-staffed organizations get 90%. Now, when we’re talking results, we are talking about being drug-free for life…tracking people for two years after they’ve completed the program.”

Contradicting Melnychuk is Narconon Trois-Rivieres spokesperson, Scientologist, Andre Ahern, interviewed on CBC TV National, April 9, 2012, stating, “….he doesn’t track what happens to most people after they leave the Trois-Rivières program.”

In one 2009 meeting with Brad Melnychuk at Narconon Trois-Rivieres, in Quebec, Canada we discussed the success rate at Narconon and Brad agreed the rate was below 70% and he was concerned about the misleading advertising and promotions being presented to the public in brochures and web sites.

There is clear evidence that the success rate which Narconon uses to lure unsuspecting and vulnerable patients into their program, is misrepresented and far from the real truth. Governments and health authorities have been investigating these false claims for several months.

According to the Canada Competition Bureau website and the writer’s interview with Federal investigators, misleading and false advertising is a very serious offence and states:

“The false or misleading representations and deceptive marketing practices provisions of the Competition Act contain a general prohibition against materially false or misleading representations.  They also prohibit making performance representations which are not based on adequate and proper tests…The Competition Act provides criminal and civil regimes to address false or misleading representations. Under both regimes, the Act prohibits the making, or the permitting of the making, of a representation to the public, in any form whatever, that is false or misleading in a material respect.”

To determine whether a representation is false or misleading, the courts consider the “general impression” it conveys, as well as its literal meaning. Under the criminal regime, certain practices are brought before the criminal courts, requiring proof of each element of the offence beyond a reasonable doubt. On summary conviction, the person is liable to a fine of up to $200,000 and/or imprisonment for up to one year. If convicted on indictment, the person is liable to a fine at the discretion of the court and/or imprisonment for up to 14 years.

Under the civil regime, certain practices may be brought before the Competition Tribunal, the Federal Court or the superior court of a province and require that each element of the conduct be proven on a balance of probabilities. The court may order a person to cease the activity, publish a notice and/or pay an administrative monetary penalty. On first occurrence, individuals are liable to penalties of up to $750,000 and corporations are liable to penalties of up to $10,000,000. For subsequent occurrences, the penalties increase to a maximum of $1,000,000 for individuals and $15,000,000 for corporations.

Not only are vulnerable addicts and their loved ones duped by inflated, misleading and false success, but also must be aware of the Narconon program health risks and dangers.

James J. Kenney, Ph.D., RD, of the National Council Against Health Fraud who said of the NarConon program “Health professionals who subject troubled people (many with psychiatric illnesses and / or severe emotional problems) to this unproven detoxification program are at best unethical and at worst guilty of health fraud.”

Talk to your own personal physician and be open and honest. Inform him that part of the Narconon Program is entering a Sauna at high temperatures for 5 hours every day for weeks on end, taking doses of Niacin as high as 2,600mg to 5,000mg in one single dose.

Narconon is a Scientology organization and has control over all the affairs of every Narconon and Narconon International. It is a convicted criminal organization that has established policies written by L. Ron Hubbard, that it is ok to lie if it furthers the interests of their group.

WireService.ca Press Release – April 10, 2012 – Narconon Trois-Rivieres is no virgin to controversy since the April 2008 CBC TV Radio Canada undercover expose. Narconon had infiltrated Quebec schools and the minds of vulnerable children with Scientology misinformation about drugs and addiction. Since Scientology does not believe in many pharmaceutical drugs, the Narconon speaker invoked fear into the children, stating that all drugs are poison. The Quebec government has since banned any further Narconon infiltration into the arena of their children’s environment, the public school system.

Andre Ahern released confidential information concerning a Toronto mom’s Son, who was a patient at Narconon. Ahern states to CBC TV,….., “… when he arrived he was in a psychotic state.  But you know what, we are not responsible for his condition when he came — for sure,” said Ahern.

Also, Ahern released and published on several websites today, confidential patient case file information about David Edgar Love who was interviewed on the same CBC TV show. The Narconon Trois-Rivieres law firm, Heenan and Blaikie, informed Narconon to keep Love’s information off the internet and to remove all videos of David Love. Narconon abided my the request and all was removed until yesterday’s expose of the incompetent and unqualified staff at the Scientology Rehab in Trois-Rivieres.

Since the CBC Radio Canada expose in April 2008, the Quebec government has implemented an Accreditation of all residential addiction treatment centers in Quebec – - all must receive Certification following inspections by a special Committee. It appears that Narconon Trois-Rivieres will be hard pressed to meet the stringent standards of professional, qualified care, as required.

Today, Narconon contravened the new regulations as follows:

35. The operator must protect the confidentiality of the personal information held and provide access in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (R.S.Q., c. P-39.1)

39. The operator must, in accordance with recognized practices, assess the suicide risk of each resident when admitted and prior to departure. O.C. 569-2010, s. 39.

Andre Ahern claiming that, “…we are not responsible for his condition when he came….” is certainly up for Certification Committee review and possibly could moot Narconon’s application to be Accredited. The sponsor and mom of the “psychotic patient”, as Ahern claims, filled out a comprehensive patient medical history for the Narconon staff to read. The intake staff were well aware of the patient’s condition; accepted a $10,000 deposit, with a promise to pay the balance of $20,000. Once this patient was accepted into the Narconon program and had their check in hand, Narconon and Andre Ahern were responsible for the care and well being of the patient. It is nonsense to think otherwise.

Many of the Narconon Trois-Rivieres staff are new program graduates, with no qualifications whatsoever except they know the Scientology program teachings and how to teach and indoctrinate new patients into the same religious doctrines. In May-June 2009, there were five patients hired and paid a meager sum of only $2.50 per hour, contravening Quebec Labour Relations Laws under the Act. Many of these Scientology recruited staff are still vulnerable and require professional aftercare, which as Andre Ahern stated to CBC TV reporter, “…  he doesn’t track what happens to most people after they leave the Trois-Rivières program….”. Once again Narconon fails as per regulation:

(4)    the name of the case worker responsible for the intervention plan and, if applicable, the follow-up plan established with community organizations. O.C. 569-2010, s. 38.

Recently, the Narconon Trois-Rivieres staff left a lethal substance in a location that was unsafe. A patient drank the substance and was hospitalized in Trois-Rivieres.

28.The operator must ensure that the place where the operator conducts activities is in a state that ensures the physical safety of residents. O.C. 569-2010, s. 27.

These negligent practices by incompetent Narconon staff, are dangerous to patient physical safety and staff are being investigated. Also unconscionable, is releasing confidential patient information.

A breach of confidentiality is a disclosure to a third party, without patient  consent or court order, of private information that the treatment center has learned  within the patient-caregiver relationship. Disclosure can be oral or written, by  telephone or fax, or electronically, for example, via e-mail or health  information networks. The medium is irrelevant – - ethical and moral judgement is crucial. A fact that Andre Ahern disregards without remorse or sorrow.
